1. Dues for Active membership will be $35.00 per calendar year.* Board members will pay dues of $10.00 per year. A budget will be established annually. Monies will be allocated in the following order: operating expenses, conference fee compensations, community outreach, and any other activities deemed appropriate by the Board. The budget will be presented to the general membership at meetings.
* This change was made to coincide with ILCA group membership dues. Further changes in fiscal year will be necessary due to SELCA's non-profit status and IRS responsibilities.
2. Executive Board members’ benefits:
a. A sum of $1000.00 will be set at the beginning of the fiscal year for Board members to use in attending the USLCA/ILCA conference, provided $1000.00 remains in the treasury. It is to be divided as follows: President will have the core conference fee paid. The remainder of the money will be divided among the remaining Board members that are attending, with a maximum of $200.00 per member.
b. If the President is unable to attend, she will appoint a designee from the Board to represent SELCA and perform the duties of the President at the conference. The designee will have her core conference fee paid.
c. If an employer, or other, is paying any Board member’s fee in full, she will not be entitled to a share of the SELCA money.
d. If, for any reason, a Board member resigns, she is not eligible for the conference money.
3. Speakers for SELCA meetings:
a. Non-SELCA members will be given an honorarium of not more than $100.00 or as approved by the SELCA Board.
b. SELCA members who present a CERP topic at a SELCA meeting will receive free SELCA membership for the following year.
c. CERPS – Effort will be made to provide CERPs at each quarterly meeting.
4. SELCA is a non-profit organization and does not specifically endorse any product.
