GA-AAP looking for GA Breastfeeding Coalition Coordinator!!

The Georgia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics is looking for a part time Lactation Consultant that will serve as a Coalition Coordinator for the Georgia Breastfeeding Coalition.
Responsibilities of this position will include:
· Working collaboratively with local coalitions and assisting them in coordinating activities.
· Provide technical assistance to help establish active breastfeeding coalitions in communities that want to start a coalition.
· Assist in the development of a coalition website.
· Apply for a 501c3 status for the coalition.
· Work collaboratively with the EPIC Breastfeeding director to host a bi-annual meeting of coalition members.
· Attend monthly meetings of at least two workgroups of the Georgia Nutrition and Physical Activity Initiative (GNPAI) to support its goals of increasing breastfeeding initiation and duration.
This person must meet the following qualifications:
· Bachelors Degree or higher in nursing, dietetics, health education, public health or in a related health care field.
· IBCLC credential is preferred.
· Experience working within a breastfeeding coalition is helpful.
· Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Must have computer skills that include the ability to create graphs and assist with website design.
· Have the ability to analyze and interpret breastfeeding data
This person will be required to travel throughout Georgia visiting local coalitions at meetings, presentations and promoting breastfeeding initiatives. This will be a full time position.
