SELCA Goals

ILCA and USLCA

The International Lactation Consultant Association (ILCA is the professional association for International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs).

ILCA publishes the Journal of Human Lactation (JHL). The JHL includes research articles as well as reviews of books and audiovisual materials. The JHL is published quarterly.

The United States Lactation Consultant Association (USLCA) has been formed. Those who join ILCA from the USA will automatically become joint members in USLCA. The national affiliate can concentrate energy and funding on issues pertinent only to USA based IBCLC's
