Staffing Recommendations for the Hospital Inpatient Setting:
Attached is the USLCA "White Paper" on IBCLC staffing that the USLCA hopes to put in the hands of hospital management around the country. It has been requested the each IBCLC working in a birthing hospital, takes this to her Director/VP of Nursing, Maternal/Child Health Director, or other Hospital Administrators she deems appropriate.
USLCA requests that those who give them to their managers, respond back to SELCA (and thereby USLCA), with the name of their hospital, and to whom they gave the staffing paper(s). USLCA is maintaining a list of which personnel, at which hospital, have received this Staffing Paper, for each Birthing Hospital in the country. We expect this to be a project that will continue and grow over the coming months and years. Please contact Kat Chiu amcbe@comcast.net to have your hospital added to the list. |
